This story is about my cousin. Let's call her Marianna. I was visiting her at her house. We were playing in her room while our parents were in the kitchen doing whatever. I ask if we could go ride the horse across the street. So after a short time, we were in the barn putting them up for the day.

She was sitting on the feed table with her boots on, pushing at the heel with the toe of the other. I asked if I could help remove her boots. She looked a little funny and told me that she wasn't going to take them off, but if I wished to take them off, it would be OK. I looked at her feet without giving her time to think about what she had said. I removed one of her boots. As it came off, so did her sock about half way. Then the other boot was off. Once again the sock also came off just over the heel.
