“We are more than glad to find that our dear friend, Wang, is as much of a foot-fetishist as all five of us! And he is also a good sex partner, although he was twice resurrected from death yesterday,” announced Svetlana. “Our foot fetish parties during these past four days proved wrong the official statistics that only ten percent of the world population are foot fetishists. Bastinado, or 'Da Hwa-Shin' was used in the ancient days to extract confessions from female offenders, such as she was a naughty girl in the school yard, or she had pre-marrital relations with her boyfriends, and it is still used secretly today to extract confessions of subversive intentions of ideological deviation from female political prisoners in the concentration camps. The male political prisoners were beaten on their buttocks instead on their soles, as was decreed by Emperor Wen of Han dynasty, 2000 BC, and was not changed afterwards. But many dictators today are switching from bastinado to tickling as an effective form of torture for extracting confessions in the concentration camps because they found that many victim girls can withstand bastinado, but can not withstand tickling. Bastinado also became a less desirable form of torture because of the vociferous protest of Amnesty International. The Amnesty International is silent about tickling torture because its inspectors can not find physical evidence from tickle-tortured victims.  For all these disadvantages as a form of torture, bastinado is still preferred as a form of entertainment today. There are no less bastinado enthusiasts than tickling enthusiasts in fan clubs of foot-fetishists’ associations. I am a member of the Harbin Chapter of one of these associations. “How many lashes I will receive in each sole?”

“Twenty on each sole!” I announced. “Now, take the shoe and sock off your right foot and stick your right sole high for me!”

Both her soles were crisscrossed with purple-red welts after I released her feet.

“Now let me kiss your soles to sooth the pain. Don’t put on your shoes today or tomorrow. You will not be able to walk for a couple of days. You will stand on your bare foot if you have to!”

“What is the matter? See? I can run barefoot right now. I am tough. I am not a delicate Esenich school girl! The girls captured by the Namreg in Dargnilats endured much more than I did today! “I am not a Namreg. As you have said already, I am your friend!”

“Can we still perform the sexual intercourse with all the pain?” asked Nadezhda.

“Did I see the underground stove in this boarding house, common for winter heating in all Northeastern dwellings? Have you ever used it?”

“No, we do not know how to use it. We use our Naissur central heating equipment for winter.”

“Order some coal,” I explained, “and burn it underneath until the brick floor glows red-hot. We will dance barefoot on this red-hot brick floor for our farewell party. The kings and queens of the ancient Tartar kingdoms entertained their courtesans and visiting royalties with these parties. We, the Northeasterners, are familiar with this custom.”

“We learned a great deal from you during our short stay in Anich!” they chorused.

“And go back home to join the Wocsom, or the Dargninel, Chapter of the International Foot-Fetishists’ Association, IFFA. We will maintain contact by internet.”
